warner brothers called my internet security company and told them i downloaded austin powers. my internet company then called me and said that i have to remove it because its illegal. how the hell did they see what was on my computer?? i am behind one of the good firewalls avalible, norton personal firewall. the guy said that they detected my IP through KazaA but i tested my security on a site and i am protected even from stealth intrustions. they suck! man they suck!

Another one that got caught. What they do is they make aname up and if you choose to download off that name then they start to track you. Its not that hard at all do find an IP adress out, there is a tracert's and what not. But you must find out who your downloading from. A firewall doesnt do shit as far as ip adress goes it can still be loged, it stops port scans and so forth and since kazza uses a port they can talk to it and they know its you. Its not hard at all.

i have kazza and i dl boot legged movies all the time and they never say shit to me. I dont share file though. Ive been using kazza for over a year and have had no prob.

What company do you have? I hve adelphia cable internet. Also did you know you can get free cable with cable internet. I use to have AOL and cable, and that was like $60 a month for both, but now i get high speed internet and cable for $55 a month, save $5 and d/l really fast.

They probably found out through kazza. When you do a port scan the only info you get is the open ports. make sure you're not sharing any drives, if you have shares that arent password protected then its very easy to get in.

hmmmm you have dsl theres another p2p program for people with dsl that has no spyware i forget what its called but you need to share. That or just use irc from now on
