Hello:

I had a minor collision with a chunk of compacted Ice and snow, and it cracked my front bumper right by the passenger side wheel and dented/cracked a spot in the front. I do not want my insurance to go up for such a minor problem, and I do not know how much it would cost to take it to a body shop... Does anyone know if it is easy to obtain, paint and install a new front bumper on a 2002 Civic Sedan (Silver)? Where is the best place to go for the parts and paint? I am assuming I cannot fix the plastic bumper in just the places where it needs it.

Any thoughts?

An auto wrecker would be my first stop. Junk yards are the best thing in cases like this.

If you want new, go to carpartswholesale.com and buy a replacement online. It won't be painted, but you can take it somewhere to get painted. At the very least, Maaco should paint it for a good price. The exterior paint code for your car should be on a sticker attached to the drivers side door jam.
