Well...after 2.5 hours of fiddling with shit I have the thing in! There's still snow on the ground here and I'm not insured right now but I had to take it for a rip. It sounds friggin sweeeeet, nice and deep when I hit about 3000 rpms.....yo!

Hey...so how important is an air bypass valve? Without one I'm still cool driving in the rain or through road puddles, no?

I'm diggin these new smilies too.....

what intake did you get? color?
air bypass is shit...... lose hp and it DOESNT WORK
unlesss u are gonna be driving in 1.5 ft + puddles , don't get the bypass valve. i've heard it doesn't work that much anyways. u can drive ur in the rain though, just watch for puddles. i've only been in the rain 3 times with my car with my cold air, and i just avoid puddles. and if u come up to a big puddle, GO SLOW through it. don't drive fast , cause u don't want water splashing up.... peace!

the bypass works but there is no point in it. it works if the filter is 3/4 covered by water.
Cool....

Yeah, I got the AEM CAI in blue.....looks good, just need more blue under the hood now, maybe some spark plug wires.
thats awesome that you finally got it on:)

Dude dont worry about it, that is normal remember now you are getting more air than before . Not a problem at all.
I had an 99 SI before the lude and it did the same thing.

i have a 94 sr-v or vtec and had the aem cai now i got the bpv put in and cant tell the difference in power loss actually it is a good thing i went through a puddle really slow but for peace of mind i think it is a good thing, even if there was a loss in HP it would be minimal like 0.1-0.2 of an HP
Re: BPV?

Racer i notice you're from Edmonton.. got any good speedshops up there that sells used engines and stuff? drop me a pm if you know some, thanx.
