this might be an odd question, i've searched the forum and haven't found any form of discussion on this topic.
planning to install aftermarket cams in my ls/vtec. what im mostly paying attention to is the lift and duration #'s.....stock GSR lift is around 10.6mm. the lift i'm looking for is around 11.2-11.8mm approximataly. and never revving the engine past ~8000rpm.
many companies say that you can use the lower stages of cams ( stage one, spec A...etc...) without upgrade of the valve springs and using thr stock valve train.
my question is, does anyone have any info on what is a safe lift on the cams before i have to start worrying about "floating" at high RPM's.
