can we get a weight redux write-up

can some one tell us everything we can do to make these beasts lighter, and do it in stages of driveability and dificulty..thanks

I can't give a write up...but I can tell you something most people overlook. rims. 1lb. off of a rim would be like dropping 10lbs. from your car. so if you have 22.5lb. rims and you get the same size rims that weigh say...16lbs....that would be 6.5lbs. per rim for a total of 26lbs. it would equal out to you dropping 143lbs. from your car. no shit.

I read an article about 16-17-18 inch rims. the 16 and 17's ran the same times and the 16's were a few MPH higher...they also weighed 2 lbs more. the 18's were .1 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile. as for handeling the guys perferred the 17-18 set up with less tire flex but ran better times with the 16's and 17's.

CF hood, remove a/c, aluminum or shaved flywheel, lighter wheels, remove spare, back seat, replace front seats with racing seats, no stereo system...

take a dump before you race....when i do it, it saves me atleast 5 lbs...

but here are things you can remove...depends on how hardcore you wanna go...

rear and front bumper support.... 100-125 lbs...not sure on the exact weight..they are pretty damn heavy though...

jack, spare, trunk lining...50 lbs combined...

rear seats, front passenger...add in 17 lbs seat like Springs or Forza in the driver....save atleast 70 lbs

lift up the carpet and door panels...scrape the noise dampening substances off...about 15 lbs...but they make your car loud as shit..i wouldn't recommend it...

power steering, air conditioning.....

well unless you want an ALL track car...these things will annoy u for daily driving..

A good weight redux that might lose some pounds and make you go faster is removing the whole brake system...you'll go faster
