So i've got all of the bolts out, that connect the tranny to the block i think. But i still cant get them to separate. am i missing something?

did you remove the axles? If not then there ya go.

and the tranny mount.....then hit it w a hammer if its still stuck, perhaps a rubber hammer if ya got one

There is one more bellhousing bolt underneath on the backside of the motor that is on the engine side, not the trans side. Other than that and everything mentioned about just wiggle and pull
