ey i have a black v6 coupe...would it be stoopid to get a carbon hood? opinons.

No way! Imo, I think if you're the type that likes a really drastic look, then maybe, but personally I think a CF hood looks awesome on a black car. It's not all that noticeable, but it's definitely there. I think it looks really good.

personally a black car is the only car color that i'd put a CF hood on, im not into attracting too much attention.

how much did you get the cf hoods for and what brand? how they holdin up?

tc spoiler, vis racing, sunny styling are all decent brands.

fiber image is slightly better then those

tc spoiler/vis, etc they run for about 300-350.

fiber image is a bit more expensive, like 50-100 more.

word of caution, your gonna get revved on by everybody....

I had a cf hood on my ride, and it was white...i didn't like the fact that it attracted too much attention.

also i didn't have my lil purple bottle......so i sold it.

How much lighter is the carbonfiber hood over the stock?

stock hood is roughly 50lbs.

cf hood with rolled edges and good skeleton is roughly 20-24 lbs.

cut edges with light skeletons are 16-20 lbs.

i have it on my car, it looks really weird from far away cause of the reflection differences... but it still looks great

It will look great on any light color cars...

i don't like it on red though .... it doesn't really go well
