what exactly are you asking? will the engine fit in the car? yes, but why?

will the y8 head fit on the z6 block? as far as i know the reverse of that will work so this should too

I did write that kinda confusing, my bad. Umm I might be getting a z6 block for $75 and I think I'm gonna need one for a 97 civic ex, Im thinking if buying this guys car that got hydrolocked, from water being sucked into the cold air intake.
So I'm thinking that I might need a new block.

chances are the head may not be any good either. you can find complete d16y8 engines for pretty cheap ~300-400 $

you would run into carb legal issues using a older block than the year of the chasis
