civic vs accord

i have a 91 civic sedan ex with a k&n short ram its also a 5 spd..my friend has a 94 accord vtec 4 dr auto with a k&n short ram. Do you think my civic has a chance agains him. Does a 5spd really make a difference against a auto??thanks

heres the deal i own a 97ex civic 5sp and a friend of mine owns a 96ex accord auot we have about the same mode I-H-E and he allways gets me by a 1/2 car evere time

all so he has a cam gear i dont know if that is making a big diff
but thats what your lookin at .... i would race him if i where u

1 more thing i just found out that piping is 2 big im runin 2.50 on I-H-E and i rad i some post that. that is 2 big 4 basic bolt on

i walk my friends 94 accord all the time about 7 cars by top of 3rd. and i beat a 96 auto as well... haven't gone up against a v6 but he should embarass me if i did.

i reaced a 95 Accord 5spd, with dc sports header, and weapon r intake. on the freeway he pulled half car lenght ahead of me but once i got past 6500 RPM i cought up to him and stared passing him slowly. never raced one off the line, but i am sure i would keep up to one.

96 EX 5spd

no Power steering
custom made 60% short shifter
GRS rims for the back

hmm are you sure:
1990 Civic EX 108hp, 100torque

1995 Accord EX: 145hp, 147torque

The accord should have no problem with beating the civic, HA with my 1990 Accord LX 5 speed I took 3rd gen RS, LS, and GS. The accord EX, even though its an auto should take you.

All I can say is I'm done bashing accord autos. My friend had a 95 V6 accord with about a 75 shot of NOS, and smoked my other friend in his Civic LX ITR Hybrid.

Heh. It was the NOS that gave the advantage. Ask them to race again w/o the NOS and see who wins. I'd like to see if the hybrid would win.

Both with Ice man intake and DC sport header 4-2-1
but my also have tenzo r exhaust
97 5 speed
98 Auto
