Im thinking about buying a 96 HB civic with a new turbo installed. I was wondering if there is anything i should be concerned about when buying this type of car with a turbo. Also what to check for when i test drive it or any other things that may be concern when dealing with a turbo on this car.

the best thing to do is bring someone that knows about turbos. That would be the best idea. Cause you'll never catch little things that you should look for.

first you should perform a compression test followed by a leakdown test.
take off the intake/filter and check the turbo for shaft play.
also check the intercooler pipes to see if there's any oil in them.
