I am interested in the black housing lights.

Are they custom made or what?
How where they turned black (paint, vinyl, etc...)?
Are they OEM lights (going to fit perfect)?
Who makes those?

I could sell my custom cleared for $100 I bet :p
$25 would not be bad ;)

Let me know!

These lights are factory/oem/jdm style. They are not custom. They look like original equipment.

Thanks,

I think it's funny when people say "jdm style"
That mean's Hong Kong domestic market,
Or Thai domestic market. ;)

I have the '00 civic ion/blue ones on my car. I paid almost $200 They do fit well, and look good. Not quite OEM fit, but really good. Just don't buy projectors! I had bad problems with them...

Yeah, I am staying away from projectors most likely!

The alignment is not done in the head lights themselves correct? That is on the car where you align and balance the light beam  ....so, that is one thing you don't have to worry about with these type lights :)
I am 80% sure that the beam alignment is in the lamp it self...
But the system on these lights works MUCH better than the alignment on those projectors... In this case it's the same as the stock alignment, however that is...
Yes... the alignment on these lights are the same as stock. They are exact specs to stock in terms of fitment/alignment/quality except they have clear lenses whereas the stocks have orange. The Black Housing lights are referred to as "JDM" because they are the same type as the stock headlights found on Type-R Civics in Japan or the "Japanese domestic Market (JDM)"

I amy just say f**k it and one weekend rip the f**kers open and do that black $hit myself. The only thing is that I seen vinyl and it's not all that smooth looking when you get up on it. I would prefer to have them painted, but then they may chip or fade, etc...

What to do, what to do

Hold on now! I took apart a set of lights before, and it's a pain in the neck! First you are going to have to open them... It took me 2 hours... then paint... 1 day... what if you don't git it right? then your scrizood! Then put them back together. Seal them up tight... 1 hour of work. The seal is going to look big and bad... there is no way to open them without bending the houseing. And once i sealed them... THERE WAS A FINGER PRINT IN THERE. How the heck did I not see that before.... That big a$$ thumb print that would bother me untill I got my new lights.

That I am very happy with.

130.00 bucks or something? it's worth it.

Yeah, I've already cleared out 2 sets of headlights (It's a bitch) :p
How do they get the inside black in the pic above or when people don't do it thereselves??

I would much rather spend the $130 and sell mine because it is a lot of work.
I think that the inside is just black plastic rather than chrome plastic.

With my old headlights I was scared to open the hood, because everyone would see how much glue I had to use to get them back together!:)
NO,NO,NO .... these lights are not painted or vynaled... These lights are made from the factory with BLACK ABS PLASTIC... I know people who have cleared their headlights themselves (including me) and who have painted them black themselves and they all ended up eventually buying the "FACTORY LOOKING" ones from me. IF YOU OPEN AND PAINT YOUR OWN HEADLIGHTS, THEY ARE GOING TO LOOK REALLY NASTY!!! I know from experience. You will not get the same look and if youre like me, you will ended up braking the tabs and they will not go back on straight.... Believe me!!! Anyway... here's a pic of the headlights on a hatch...

OK, thanks for the quote.

I have to wait until the end of the month when I get back to Savannah and then I'll see. I also have to get some Ground Controls and an air horn first

Thanks again!
how long is this deal going to be going on for? somebody just ran into me and caused about 1400 in damages...luckily i have a kit sittin at home so ill pocket most of the money. but anyways, yeah i'll have enough for new headlights after he pays me thus going back to my need of knowing how long this is going on for. thanks.
I'm interested in a pair of the 99-00 black housed lights, but i was wondering..... is it just me or does it seem like the headlights on your website has a purplish/blue ion cover??
