You don't need a new clutch. Your vacuum hose just came off. Get new hoses and just add more nitrous. Clutches are over-rated anyways. MORE NOS!!! MORE NOS!!! Smoke those turbocharged GSX's for the rest of us Civic drivers.

When it stays in one spot does your rpm tends to shoot up and then goes down when it finally grips?
goes up and feels like its not moving. is this a sign of a slipping clutch?

Your clutch is fine, it if your rpm goes really slow but you stay in one spot, it means you are not using enough NAAWWWSSSSSS. You need TWO BIG BOTTLES.

Your clutch is not just slipping. Your clutch is wasted. Time for an upgrade. Always resurface your flywheel if replacing a clutch especially if it has been slipping for a while (which it sounds like it has) to get rid of heat spots or scoring. Otherwise that nice new expensive clutch will be ruined in no time flat. At best you will end up with a chattering clutch. Maybe look into a lightened flywheel. Not that much more money than resurfacing and you get the added performace benefits.

Okay, enough fun and games for now...
If that's the case then, your best bet would be to either hold off on the install until you can get a day to take it in where you could get your flywheel resurfaced at the same time, otherwise you will be wasting your money and a new clutch.
Your other options are to...hold off on the install for another week or two and see if you can order a lightened flywheel online or from a shop. I'll throw this one out there too because some people do have this luxury...go by a junk yard and yank a flywheel from a fucked up car and get that thing resurfaced and use it in your car. Like I said on the last one, some people have the luxury to do it.

Anyways, if your clutch is slippin bad while you are on the juice, even if you only spray in second gear, then I would highly recommend that you baby it until you can get a new clutch and your flywheel resurfaced. If you continue trying to race it, if its in that bad of a condition, you could glaze the flywheel to the point where resurfacing will not even be an option.

Ignore the post if you choose cuz, but I'm actually trying to give you serious advice on this one.

Even after you get the new clutch, don't race for about a week (500 miles). If you get on it right after it get's put in, you will burn it up. Just like brakes, you don't want to slam on it until it's worn in.

should be put in by tommorrow. hate the breaking in shit. oh well i should be able to put 300-500 miles by next weekend. as for the flywheel we gona check it out first and if it isnt burned or warped then we will leave it as is. but if it is then we will get it resurfaced.damn its gona be a long day tommorrow.w we checked with local clutch shops and they say its best to resurface if its warped but we going to see tommorrow if it does need to be done
