im thinking about getting a set of coil overs (as soon as i pay my tickets) but will the coil overs alone be a good idea, or should i get anything else? my car has like 120xxx miles on it. or should i just get springs? whats a good drop with a sol (stock si rims)? thanks.

you can actually get the coilovers alone and wait for your shocks to blow and then change the shocks.

I prefer coilovers that way I can adjust the hieght.

a good drop would be around 2"-2.5"
