Ok, I bought a 93 Civic EX. It isn't a VTEC or anything special. All it has done to it is a cold air intake, exhaust... some light upgrades, lowered, rims/tires. Everything is vtec, vtec, vtec... so i should just sell my car and buy one with a vtec, eh?

I'm open for any suggestions.

Oh yea... it's also an automatic :-/

Ok, I been lookin around and I figure I can probably sell my car for like.... 6000 and some change. I'm lookin into prob buying a 92-95 DX coupe or HB and then doin an engine swap (b16 or b18?)

What would the swap run me? (engine and installation)

I'm hoping not much more then 3k cause I can prob find a DX for around 3k... then I'd end up breaking even. What do you all think? Remember, I'm all new to this.

Your car is VTEC.. All the Civic EX's have SOHC VTEC.. the difference you're probably thinking of is DOHC VTEC (most commonly found in Integra GSR's, Integra Type R's, and Civic Si's)

it does have vtec unless thta isn't the original engine. if you want to swap out the tranny, might as well do the whole engine for something more powerful
