I'm selecting a new exhaust for my '97 GSR.

How would any of you who have heard the comptech exhaust characterize the sound?

I'm looking for a performance exhaust of low noise or a low tone. I'm trying to avoid anything buzzy.

just go ahead and buy the comptech. you will love it. its quality is second to none that i have ever seen.... well, i am going to assume it is made to a quality similar of the hytech headers/exhaust. when i had a comptech, i ordered it from www.autocarparts.com and had it two days later.

Thanks! I was checking with some folks at another, lesser, forum and so far I've heard nothing but rave reviews. A nasty noise is what got me thinking of replacing it. Turns out it was yet another heat shield! Buying tires and AGX shocks first. Then the exhaust. I can't wait!
