run scan disk..and defrag..should help
im kinda computer illiterate, how should i do that?
u might wanna check for spyware too. thatll probably bog down ur pc.
If all else fails just reformat and start from skratch.

go to start menu..programs..accesories..system tools..then scan disk will be there...do automatically fix errors..do the standard...thorough takes too long...then after that...run defrag..found in the same spot

u may want to crtl alt dlt everything but "explorer" should make both applications run quicker

and if you have kazaa..get rid of it..and get rid of the spyware it left behind..

then go to kazaalite.com..and download kazaa lite...no spyware

i tryed to run scandisk but it said i dont have enough memory so im thinking thats my problem, anyway to erase some stuff or something so that i have more memory?
run defrag and make sure your drive with the OS on it has more than 50 mb left

yea..do disk cleanup..same place as defrag and stuff...then go to start...find..and search for "temp"...windows stores a bunch of stuff in this folder...delete it

btw...what are the specs on your computer?
hbahah you gotta clean up your main hard drive with your operating system on there for anything to run... ive had that problem cause stupid "C:" drive only had 10 mb i had to free up some shit..... get a bigger HD or partition the one you have if its a litle small
u can also go to run and type in msconfig and go to the startup, check the programs running when u start up ur comp, might be a bunch of stuff that doesn't need to be on
lota stuff will be a problem,
check your hard drive to see how much space you have avalable.
get a virus scanner, check if there are any virus in your computer, that will cause a problem sometimes
how much ram you have?

if (ram <= 64 MB)
{
buy at least another 64 MB of ram
}
else
{
if ((ram > 64 MB) and (ram <= 128 MB))
{
do what they just told you to do. if that doesn't help......buy more ram
}
else
{
reformat your computer
}
}

it's not really the rams, i'm pretty sure it's just a bug stuck in your computer.
