recently my alternator was putting out less than tweleve volts. i changed it and now output is 14. i had to remove the instake to get at it and when I put everything back together and start the car the rpms run up to 3 - 3,500. the engine will not idle normal. i disconnected the evac and reset the ecu and no change. I tried using a resistor in place of the ecu and no change. it is not a binding linkage or stuck throttel as all that funtions fine. it seems like the ecu is telling the engine to rev. anyone have any suggestions?
