i had air-shocks in my car running from a bottle of compressed nitrogen. It was cool, the ride was smooth but not very stiff. I wasn't confident about cornering hard or fast, and the transfer of weight while trying to launch wasn't as good as a strong suspension (by strong i mean springs, struts and things of the like). Cylinders are pretty much the same except they run off of regulated air. about $500 for all the parts for air-shocks, more for cylinders.
The whole air-suspension thing ain't so bad; not half as bad as anyone else on the board might tell you. from my own experience i can tell u that i liked it, but i just got tired of it. I wanted more confidence and strength in my suspension so that's why i went back to springs.

Point taken, I am interested in performance, that's why I did by my GS-R. Also, I enjoy showing my car, so the air ride is appealing to me for that reason. I'm trying to establish a balance between go and show, which has proven to be somewhat difficult. I'm now just starting to have to spend large amounts of money for mods because most of the little ones are done.
it can be done. Most of the winning show cars in any HIN series have bags- LJ's hatch with an H22 (i think), turbo Joe's Wagon....
