Ok so my wifes head gasket went out on her d15b7 94 4dr DX. So her grandfather who has his own shop got a D15b from japan that came with a dual weber carb IM on it. Is the bottom end such as stroke, bore and all the same on this dual carb as it is on the jdm d15b vtec? the reason i ask is cuz im bout to spend 6800$ on building a 400hp d15. i have the one with the blown gasket, my del sol has one and my wifes car has this d15b. thanks in advance.

same motor. no fuel injection. 400hp? go with a d16. your gonna need the extra displacement. also forged rods for the d15 are few and far between, and the rod length to stroke ratio blows. the 16 is just a better chioce and the results will be much more satisfying. just a recommendation though, your car, your money, ya kno. good luck with your build.
