I had made a thread earlier about if i should swap out my D16Y7, but now that i think about it, it might be cheaper to just turbo the thing. Which is the best way to go. The car is a 96' civic lx with minor mods but nothing special.

but how well will it hold upcuz the motor does have some miles on it, but i would change the internals of course.
ok dude check

vitara pistons
eagle rods
arp head studs
arp rod bolts
cometic head gasket
the turbo of your chioce. (im partial to the bastard 18g)
get it tuned on crome and hit well over 280whp...

however i reccomend you boost on stock internals. get used to the way it feels. cause if you dont you wont be able to handle it.

boost stock internals on 10psi and youll break the 20whp marker.

and d series motors are fucking champions man, they hold up to boost so well. the only real down fall is the fact that there have weak ass rods. after about 240 ish whp the rods get tender. (hence the stock internals 10psi comment haha)

youll be good. run a compression check on the motor and a leak down test. if you come out straight.. then boost it stock and the day you boost it GO GET IT TUNED without a tune that car is worthless. have fun and good luck

youll need it..:ninja
