ok guys i need your help agien! i have the money but before i waste it i need your insight! :clap

well im stuck on what to get, would you guys say performs better:

d167y nonvtec with ZC tranny, then street cam gear and shaft
(D16Y7 1.6L SOHC non-VTEC 96+ Civic CX/DX/LX 106hp)

OR

d16zc stock
(D16Z6 1.6L SOHC VTEC 92-95 Civic EX/Si 125hp)

both motors with basic bolt-ons, I/E/H, in a 1999 Civic Hatch Dx

OR

do you guys have better idea?!?!

The differeing parts are what will make the difference between the two

personelly as long as you were using the d16z6 or y8 intake manifold on the D16y7 i would just opt for that route in your 99 car.

the z6 comes straight out of the box with all the good parts that makes the y7 so restricted, but even the p08 vtec head's cam is not going to make as much power as a properly tuned non vtec head with "street" cam as you put it

check out the delta 272 cam for the y7, make sure to get your setup tuned(obdI conversion is best bet, run a socketed ECU) run the good intake manifold and invest in some dyno time.
