What trannys can be put into a 2000 civic ex? Something that can handle more power.. Just wondering cause i was thinking of rebuilding my engine and running a 150 shot..

Any other trannys that could take this extra power?

a d-series tranny will only bolt-up to a d-series engine. And they're all pretty much the same.

Your options are

1) to go with a Racing transmission which is upwards of 2 grand...

2) get An electronic SHIFTRONIC for the tranny cpu, since honda don't make a shift kit like they do for old chevy's

3) get an aftermarket torque converter... it makes ALL the difference in the world! Go to www.protorque.com or www.levelten.com

still, d-series goes with d-series... unless you go crazy and try to jb weld a b to it!

even with 5 spd, give those people (protorque and levelten) a call. If they can't help you, they WILL know who can!

Oh, there's always mods you can do to your existing tranny, like the lightened flywheel. Helps out tremendously.

OR the act clutch, phantom lsd, and even a short-shifter is what i'd add!
