Dealers love to pull that stunt (voiding engine and/or tranny warranty) but bolt-on mods won't void any warranty unless it's proven to be the major source of the fault! It will void your stock air-box warranty though!~

never get the ebay intake!!! The F*ckin filter fell apart on me causing my engine to suck up anything it wanted to

y dont u take out ur resonater

honestly because one of two reasons (depending on what mood im in )
1.) since i got the el cheapo intake i was going to modify my stock air box so that the bottom protion was cut out and colder air was routed to it via ducting... mind you that was my fist plan
2.) since it is a generic short ram, i soon may grow tired of the loudness of vtec, and decide to just put my drop in kn back in and be all set stock once again..
basically since its not a CAI i saw no reason to take out the lower portion of the intake (resonator) you know the KISS method right --joe

i just checked on the comptech website today, they have the accord ice box on there and it says coming soon, but i didnt see anything about the supercharger, that makes me think they may release the ice box before they release the supercharger.

see I buy my own car so that my dad cant do that to me...I would rather drive my old ass teg with my shit on it then a 2000 teg and keep it bone stock and have every ricer try and race me cuz its a teg and lose

yeah i wanted a 98 accord that i could fix up right away, but then my dad goes out and buys me this 2001 and im not complaining but now he wont let me do hardly anything to it. but i try to warm him up to the idea of modding and slowly i get to add things

It's listed on www.autocarparts.com under intake system. Does anybody know if this is the entire ice box or just the ice box piece?

i think the one on autocarparts is the whole thing. WOOHOO!! Time for me to order!!....once i get the money

get the cai, u can always convert it back to the short ram....

who says they have to know? don't ask, don't tell . Does he drive the car as well? how often does he look under the hood? If so then maybe it's time to get a car of your own.

Trust me, he won't notice a minor drop. I've put money into my 99 accord and stang without either of them noticing. Not that i really cared. They ask why the stang's so loud, "ohhh cause it's a v8, it's supposed to be loud". Why does the accord have a new exhaust? "cause the old mufflers and pipes are no good and these will hold upto the Mn snow and salt better". See? you just have to find a way around. Go out, get it, explain later.

Hey, I'm kinda in the same dilemma with my parents...My moms and pops are tripping on my ass...I wanted a 98-up Integra GSR or a '01 Prelude, but Nooo, they said they gonna get me a new car because Used cars are never as good...NEVER! So they stuck me with a '02 Tl Type-S...don't get me wrong its a nice car and all, but parents are not letting me do jack shiet to my car...I mean I could try to get it pass them, but they keep a close eye on my car and I really hate doing things behind their back...Well, I will eventually mod my car...Probably go with a AEM CAI first, and then, a Greddy exhaust of some sort...or some kind of exhaust...:laughy: :smileb:
