Dangerous with top off

i'm definitely guilty of doing this, i try not to do it for too long, but sometimes you can't help it.

actually I really dont like to take the top off cuz of the body flex and when I do I never look at the sky , I always watch the road

thats pretty stupid to stare up at the sky while driving.
just my opinion though

yeah usually when i do that i find myself smashed into a tree.

why get a del sol if you dont enjoy it with out the roof off... i HATE mine with it on, del sols suck in my opinion when the tops on, SQUEEK SQUEEK SQUEEK i have to shout over it so the passengers can hear me... if you haven't you should watch the sky while your driving if your a good driver, its amazing

usually I don't hear unusual squeaks in the car because of my bad ass sub enclosure holding three JL Audio 10w6s. Actually I lied. I'm down to two because I blew one of them.

Never did that before, but not that you mention it, I just might start doing it... Actually, whenever I'm driving by the country side or by the riverside, I like to pull over with the top off and take a little breather/shut-eye with the shades on. It's really calm and relaxing.

Heh, my dad told me about a time he did that in his old road runner back in the day before I was even a seed. Someone tried to carjack him so he beat him up with some rubber thing filled with led that he has to this day. It looks like a deformed dildo.

Back on the topic, I am guilty of doing the whole "stare at the sky" deal, and yeh it was almost quite dangerous.

I tend not to look up in the sky to see things. I'm just thinking it's a common sense thing but I could be wrong. Kinda like staring out the side window.. Don't do that either.

i'm very guilty of doing this as well....i try to explain it to people..but it's just somethin you have to experience...like a coll 70*summer night..top off, stars out, full moon...it's soo awesome....

driving through south georgia going home.

10pm back country roads, 15 miles off of the interstate, top off, Friday night in June, half moon rising, no clouds, the milky way looking like a river of new diamonds.... slight warm summer breeze

you don't even turn the radio on. just listen to the wind and the engine and feel peace because you're travelling at the perfect speed.

When I die, this is what I hope I get to do forever.


yeah, i guess i've done this too...... it's tough to keep your eyes on the road when the universe is watching you drive.

and it's also why i'll always have a convertible.

I dont drive with it off because I dont feel safe not because I dont like it, when a girl asks me to take the top off I do so if not then it stays on.

yea i hear you on the safety thing those pics of seen of rolled sols that were topless scare me... but personally i just enjoy it way too much, i'm hooked on the convertable thing... whenever i drive my dads car i have to open the sunroof and all the windows to be somewhat satisified

I take my hands off the wheel, and throw them in the air roller coaster style.

If you close your eyes, it even feels like a roller coaster....

yeah i always like put a hand our two out the open roof to catch some wind, people always think i'm like waving to them or something... ever stand up on the seat while driving?

I put it on cruise control once, and climbed out on the trunk lid, took off my shirt, and caught a few rays while reading the latest playboy magazine.
