i just posted this in the OT forum and not too many replies. Plus you guys in here seem smarted then all of them in there so let me know what you think? I got my 17's stolen while my car was being repaired at the dealer less than a year ago.. They also got my Cd's and my amp... To make a long story short, this has never been resolved. Im not too worried about the amp and cd's since i dont have reciepts and it never went on the police report because it wasnt noticed till about 3 weeks later. They denied responsibility, my insurance company fucked me..... Anyway ive moved to a different state since then, and this week ill be going back to the scene of the crime for the first time and im gonna go have a chat with the GM at this honda dealership.. I have my receipt for my rims, my copy of the police report, which listed THEM as the victim, and a copy of my work order. Now should i just go raise hell, or tell the GM i want my money or what? I really dont want to get a lawyer for this, but if i have to i will. I mean what should i say when i get there? How should i act, etc... I need your guys advice/opinions/help here so let me know what you all think i should do and what would be the best way of going about this.

BTW, i already contacted American Honda and they said theres nothing they could do, They basically just recommended calling the BBB but i havent got around to it. Hopefully ill be walking out with a check.

You should have never let it go this long in the first place bro- Honda is completely liable while your car is on there property - It is their obligation to return your car to you in the same condition in which it was given to them (with the exception of what they may have fixed). You say you dont want to get a lawyer involved? That will be the only way you MIGHT be able to do something about the situation now that its been so long- You said your insurance company fucked you? In my opinion it has nothing to do with your insurance company- the honda dealer you brought your car to is the one whos completely liable for the situation - it happened during their time, on their property- their insurance should cover it- You cant just drop off a car and have the wheels and stereo stolen from it at a dealership and not have them reimburse you for something like that- there must be more to the story that youre not mentioning- and why was your car there for so long anyway?

i know my insurance company had nothing to do with it, but when it happened, all asked the service manager if he was gonna pay my insurance deductable and he said no... I was jobless, and basically homeless when it happened, and two months behind on my payments... My insurance company denyed my claim because of me being behind on my payments, its some stipulation in the policy i had. It was there for so long because i had no money to get any other wheels on the car and it just sat there for 3 weeks before i could get any way to move the car off there lot. Theres really nothing else to the story other then when they showed me the sign behind the service desk thats says "not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles left on there property" i just let it be. Its been less than a year, so i dont think, if there is one, that the statute of limitations would have ran out on what happened here. I was just so pissed when it all happened that i just wanted to get the hell out of there and move to NC like i was supposed to do before this all even happened. You really think its too late to get this resolved without a lawyer? I mean if i go in there and talk to the general manager and tell him he either has to pay me or ill go see my lawyer, shouldnt he just give me a check? Im starting to get all pissed off about this again. I gotta do something!
