Just wondering if there is anyway to incorporate a Blow Off Valve into a Jackson racing supercharger? Also is there a intercooler for it too? Haven't seen a jackson supercharger motor with a intercooler. I like the Piss, but like the supercharger too, Pus the amount of people having a supercharger is far less then turbo.
so more owwws, and aahhhhs. Heh let me know

Because of how the Jackson Racing Supercharger makes boost it does not create the same kind of heat a Turbocharger at the same 6-9 PSI would. For this reason an Intercooler would not help. Also due to the design of the Roots Style Supercharger incorporating an intercooler would be VERY difficult, if not imposible.

Vortech makes a Centerfugal (Spelling) Supercharger kit which could probibly be made to fit a Del Sol, However having seen one attached to an ITR I would be willing to bet it's not going to be a direct bolt on. Centerfugal Superchargers are basically Belt Driven Turbochargers. They use exactly the same kind of compressor wheel, and housing therefore the Vortech kit does benifit from Intercooling. (It includes an Air to Water Intercooler)

I'm not big on superchargers, but a friend of mine has a Vw Corrado G60 w/ a Lysholm supercharger. I don't know if any of you have heard about the supercharger. It was in the Sport Compact Car issue that featured the Forced Induction. Well anyway it is without doubt the best sounding forced induction sound ever!!! It sounds like a goddamn fire engine. It screams!!! At a car show all he does is start his car and a flock of people crowd around his car. It's incredible. I know that one is made for the d16, at least that's what he told me. And yes there are intercoolers used on Superchargers. My friend with the Corrado uses a water intercooler. It's helps incredibly. Well I'll try to get back w/ his website, let me know if anyone wants it.

Vortech too much?

I know that the Vortech Supercharger is expensive $4000-4500. But to get the same performance numbers at 8-9 PSI what is cheaper?

Is it because supercharger max out at a lower PSI than a turbocharger would or is because for the same price you can up the boost on a cheaper turbo kit and get better performance numbers. If this is so then the maintenance may be too high for it.

I know that performance numbers are just numbers, but I was just curious on what everyone meant by getting something better.

Flamereka: I too like that sound the blow off valve makes. I read somewhere that superchargers require blow out valves at higher PSI's, so you may be able to get what you want.
