Hi Guys,

Looking for an international opinion.

The cogs in my tilter mech have disintegrated. I was wandering if anyone knows of someone who sells replacements preferably metal but plastic will suffice.

I do not want to pay British Honda prices as they are very inflated.

Thanx for suggestions in advance.

First, NICE WORK MIN2!!

I'll cut and paste that part code - I know damn well I'll be needing it soon.

Rish - he's right, they all disintegrate sooner or later.

Bigdsol - after hearing this, you still want one?

Cheers MIN2, I will see if Honda UK sells them. If they don't is there a possibilty of sending an email of an english speaking/understanding company that may export them here????

BTW, MIN2 says the TTP lifter mech is much expensive.

He's damn right.

The guy who had my Sol before me replaced the lifter at a UK Honda dealer, and he paid $1300. I know - I've got the receipt.

Ouch!

One of the guys from the clubsol web board in the UK managed to get the cogs for 4 GB pounds from a company in Japan which is the number of the company I have. Which is why I am trying to find a way of ordering from them.

??

who did say "around 20 pounds" ?

if you can't get this part from honda in european bloc, you will have to import them from jp...
then, you can import the metal cogs from 'clubsol hongkong.'
i heard that they made metal cogs, and some jp peaple import them.

if you want, I try to translate your English to French or Japanese, but I am not good at speaking English...

MIN2,

You are a star (english phrase meaning you are brilliant).

Do you know the contact details for this hong kong company because ideally I would want the metal ones. Saves having to buy repeated sets of plastic ones. I am sure that I will be able to get a few english guys interested in buying a few sets.

Thank you for the offer of translating.

I just won that set on ebay. When they arrive I will have them copied in aluminum for resale.

What would be a fair price to ask (Still gotta check on price of production)...

About how many sets should I make?

so did we ever find a source for the metal ones?

Oh, and I think they were made in plastic for safety only (so if you get a finger caught in the tilter when reaching for the latch) the cogs will break before they cut your finger off... <-- Just a random thought...i think...
