I have checked out everything, but my brakelight will be on just slightly all the time. My parking brake isn't dragging, and my brakes are all new. Everything is fine. I believe it to be the switch at the e-brake that is not going all the way off. When I pull it up and then push it down fast the light goes off but then fades back on. I am thinking it is a faulty switch.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

i've had that problem, my brake light came on and then my abs...i thought it to be my ebrake not going down all the way but nope, i got new brakes and new rotors also, but the yoyo who did my car drained all the brake fluid....other than that you've got me...

Yeah it is the instrument cluster light that comes on. My brakes are all new. The light will turn off if I tweak with the handle, but then it fades back on. I am almost positive it is the switch, but I wanted to know if anyone else had this problem.

Thanks.

it sounds like its a parking brake problem, id adjust the cable/tensioners and all that stuff and then bleed the fluid for brake system and see if its still a problem.....it could possibly be electrical, i used to have that problem on my legend, but a bleed fixed it if i remember correctly

Yeah I have been meaning to get in there and check the tension on the cable, but that means I have to clean out my car. Maybe I can find time this weekend to do it.

Thanks for you suggestions.

I have the same prob also,, was going to post it, but thought it was not worth it.. mine turns on everytime i start the car and its cold, when it warms up a little and i drive off, it finally turns off, i checked everything and even thought maybe its a way to tell me that my brakes are bad but my brakes are fine.. (talk about a runon sentence) (My grammar teacher would have a field day)

are you positive your fluid situation is allright? if so, i would just rig up the switch (either short it or put an open in the wires. Either way, you'll figure out what wrong
