Drum brakes?

Hey guys I understand how disc brakes work but its the drums that I just dont get (probably cuz i cant see inside of them). So how do they work? Do drums wear thin like brake pads do on disc brakes?

yes they do. Drum brakes don't use a rotor...the "housing" you see is what they press against i believe. They push outwards onto that to help slow the car instead of clamping like disc brakes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

ur right. drum brakes use 'shoes' and not pads
