Dual Exhaust Question

1052 Views 6 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  sttk2k
I was wondering if dual exhaust helps the car in any way as opposed to a single exhaust system. Like if i were to put dual exhaust on my 4-cyl accord. Does it hurt it in any way too?
Thanks

you would get very little gains, if any. I dont think it would hurt your performance unless you took out the cat too, then you would have too little backpressure.
For certain, the extra weight can't help. Besides, you may get some dirty looks from AV6ers.

You'll lose back pressure, I think. ;)
When i first got my accord i was planning on putting a dual exhaust on there but the prob is
1) you add alot of extra weight that is going to slow you down
2) with an aftermarket exhaust you lose backpressure w/ 2 of them on a 4cyl you will loose to much and make your car slower.

But if your all show then it looks great
