are you going to a proffessional body shop for this paint job?-i think they use like 3-4 coats of paint and 2 coats of clearcoat. i dont think it matters what kind of paint you really use-i think a paint job depends more on the quality of the job.
I hear many excuses in the industry that try to blame certain paint brands for not having a good match or doesn't "lay down" but imo its all bs... it all has to do with the painter and how good he/she is.
Dupont is an industry leader in automotive finishes, but like all manufacturers they have high quality and low quality products.
If you got a single stage paint, 3 coats is about good, if you got a base coat / clear coat paint you will need about 2 coats of base and 3+ coats of clear. The more clear you put on, the more you will be able to cut and buff off.
