Just bought a used 03 S2000 and I am planning to install a sound system. If I buy a head unit with a screen will it have enough room to open? I know it will block the AC vents but I can live with that. Anyone installed this type of headunit before? Did you have to do some customizing to your dash? Someone told me that you can buy the japanese version s2000 console that can solve this problem but cant find anyone so I can order it.

I don't think a flip-up screen would have room to open b/c the shifter would be in the way. I know someone who got a 7" screen custom installed where the head unit is, but that's just a screen, not a head unit. I think the Japanese navigation screen console is your best bet.
