I know a guy that had a H22a in a 95 Accord Coupe EX that ran 14.3 with I.H.E. All stock internals. SI's with just I.H.E. run around 14.6 - 15.3 with stock internals.
Oh i see.:D

So what are usually N/A mods for the H22a?

any good ones?

thanks guys!

:) :)
on an h22 i would start with the basic i/h/e then maybe go with some pullies or cams and cam gears
depending on if its a coupe or a sedan and an auto or stick, it will run from low 15's to mid to high 15's stock. an lx coupe 5 speed w/ an h22 will probably run about 15.2 stock if you are a pretty good driver.
For all the internals Ex:
Cams and Cam gears
Valve springs
Titanium retainers
Rods and Pistons
etc

That's most of the major stuff, that runs about $1500, but you'll notice a big difference. You could also resleeve the block and get custom pistons and get more power out of your H22a.

Also a port and polish of the block
think prelude with a bit less weight on them. h22 has more torque and more hp than any b16 or b18 for that matter.
Does any one know what a stock lude with the H22 runs the 1/4?

Also, my friend just bought a 98 lude. And the engine has H224 on it, what does that mean?
First off start with I/H/E unless your going turbo down the road. Then get an Unorthodox Crank Pulley. Set of whoevers cam gears. A fidanza Flywheel and ACT HA3-XTSS Clutch. This combo was good enough for me to go 14.4 @ 98...tall trap speeds...Shitty ETs...Think about getting a Quaife too while your at it.
I would recomend against an unorthadox crank pulley. A couple horses are not worth the extra wear and tear on the engine without a harmonic dampener.

my stock prelude was running 15.2's when it was stock...

h22a4 is the code for the obd2 motors with the open deck design...
whats the difference of a preludes weight to an LX accord?

what are the different kinds of h22a available? what are their HPs?

thanks guys!
great answers!

i/h/e will not get you into the low 14s, as someone stated in one of the first few posts (unless you are waaaay below sea level).

yes, you will rape Civic SIs.
