I am putting a 98 sohc vtec motor in my civic. I got a ecu from a 5speed part #37820-P2P-A34, but I am going with an auto. I was wondering if I need a 98 ecu Part #37820-P2P-A84 or will A 99 with part #37820-P2P-A92 work properly. It is the first time doing this with a import. I drove my girls and had to get my own.

96-98 and 99-00 ecu's are not interchangeable. you would need the ecu from the auto 96-98 p2p ecu

yeah three wires actually. the one from the vtec solenoid, and 2 from the oil pressure switch to the ecu and the other to a ground.
