My car was in an accident before i purchased it and the guy that did all the work and sold it to me said the check engine light will never go off.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Its really annoying at night, plus im tired of people asking me whats wrong with my engine.

i might have an idea

if u have the honda main repair book there is a way to find out whats wrong. codes are associated with the engine check light when you push a button and tells u what is the matter(code wise). most likley its a failed o2 sensor or something int he computers enternal systems. the only way to find out is by testing the check light by finding the diagnostic switch. i think it reguires jumping the hot wire from the ecu to some other fuse. im not sure. u look it up and ill let u know tomrrow
in the passenger foot well there is a small panel in the corner, right next to the door. pull it off, and there should be a blue two wire plug behind it. the two terminals of the plug need to be jumpered. then yo ucan turn your car to the on position and count the flashes of the check engine light. the # of flashes will tell you what is wrong as far as the sensors.
