does anyone ever redo the short-block of an accord (pistons, rods, etc)? if so what is the best set up for the 4 cyl engines? what about cams and cam gears?
I used to wonder the same thing. After doing some research, I found it to be just about as expensive to rebuild a F-series motor as it is to buy and swap a H22 into the car. Plus if you have the H22, the possibilities for performance enhancing parts is so much larger than with any F motor.
it costs a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to do it trust me. My advice is do the H22 swap becuase with that engine you got more ability to go faster plus it is around 175 hp which is 25hp more then the 4 cly honda accord. Due to the accords wierd displacement it is hard to find stuff for it and it takes a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
