I have 97 prelude and i alrady have an Aem intake in it. I ordered a thermal r&d exhaust and i am wondering what kind of headers i should get? Also is this one of the good exhausts for my car?

thermal is good...but not the best IMO. the greddy EVO is my favorite, and im starting to like the apexi N1 as well.

for a header, you should get either DC sports or Greddy. Greddy is more expensive but i believe they are slightly better and they are certainly of better quality than DC
To really get gains from a header, go with mugen...Expensive, but you will have more hp.
go with mugen if you want to spend 400 more dollars getting about 2 or 3 more hp. mugen is not worth it unless money is not an object.
i like my evo and i have the dc ceramic header, but i didn't think they made a greddy header for a 5gen? anyways, the dc ceramic is cheaper, and theres really no difference between the stainless steel and ceramic, (besides looks). peace!~
Greddy exaust is the best in my opinion and greddy or dc headers.

yes greddy makes a header for the 4th and 5th gen H22

differences between ceramic and Stainless steel: a stainless steel header can rust, but usually lasts longer because it does not crack like ceramic can in harsh climate. SS looks better IMO as well but of course it is more expensive. a ceramic header will give you slightly more hp, because the air flow rate is better than stainless steel for some reason.
Apexi N1 is soo much better than greddy...I had an evo and doesn't compare at all. I like the N1 way way better. looks wise, power wise up top...and it resists rust damn well. I like it a lot.
are the gains better ??? with the N1...
if you are looking for just power gaines when considering headers mugen actually according to superstreet (i think, or scc) had the least power gaines and dc had the most, but mugen is deffinatly higher quality. i think kamikaze came next then greddy. another thing you should do when you get headers is wrap them in heat wrap, because with the naked headers the heat is dissipating too fast.

EVO = gains start at 2000 rpms and go all the way up the power band (my power extreme is very similar). there have been some problems with rust on the piping, and the noise is kinda farty from behind the car...but it sounds good from inside the cabin

N1 = gains start at 4000 rpms and go up to redline...you lose a lot of low end but gain A LOT of high end. the N1 is top quality
I heard that installing a header on a 5th gen doesn't do much at all due to the fact that their exhaust manifolds are decent.
Thermal is a good choice for an exhaust. Classic or Stealth? or are you just getting the rear section?

here... read this!

it compares the older 5gen to the newer 5gen... because there are rumors about the exhaust manifolds in them.
Pictures can't tell you anything though. You could take two ludes same everything on the exterior put them next to each other, and say they're exactly the same. Who's to say one isn't sprayin or boostin?
People say that DC sucks for 5 gen. Its not worth the money and its cheap quality. So what are other choices out there for me. I was about to buy the DC CC header....but people telling me not to cause it sucks. I thought about greddy ...but they dont make it for 5 gen. How about NEUSPEED....anyone hear anything about them. SOmeone help.... I'm soo lost and soo confused.

so if I held a turbo from a semi truck and a turbo from a mitsibishi gsx you couldn't tell me that the truck turbo would make more hp....all he is comparing is the design and size of tubing are the same....looking at it from inside and out. not exactly comparing two cars with multiple components...that is a horrible analogy.

I got the full exhaust system classic style with the dual straight tips I thought that was a better choice
