Exhaust Piping Question

Hi my friend has a pretty much stock 01 Auto Prelude. All he has right now is a muffler in terms of performance. He wants 3" piping to go along, but i feel that this is too big. Im pretty sure 3" piping is for forced induction only and will only hurt his backpressure with the mods that he has/will get. Am i right? What kind of piping do you recommed that he gets to improve performance?

If he's going to get a turbo, then get 3" piping...He should get 2.25 piping, cause that is really the best you should get..
yah... go with 2 1/4 if hes not goin f/i... i think my evo is 2 1/4 also!:)
60MM is 2.33 inches roughly. 2.25 is stock. the stock piping actually is good....the muffler on the other hand:confused:
you're exactly right, 3" is way too big unless you have a turbo or sc. if you go the n/a route, stick with a 2.25 in diameter.
if he gets the 3" piping with his N/A setup, will he actually feel the loss in torque as many people say there will be?
