exhaust question

i know that if you get piping that is too large (i.e. 3" on N/A setups) you will lose too much backpressure to do you any good. My questions is, can you actually feel this difference? Or is this just one of those things that you lose like a couple hp and is no big deal?

there is a chart that i got in school that tells you the pipe size that you want like a 1L to a 2L engine with 100 to 200 hp wants 21/4 inch to 21/2 inch. excessive back pressure loss will result in a loss of the scavageing affect which will make you loose hp and it will be noticable.you best bet is to use a catback system because it is designed to give you the right back pressure.
