is a f series swap worth the time?
I think so. plenty of torque and ZC like HP depending on the year engine. I would do it. If you're not trying to make a drag car go for it. It would rip in the city from light to light and merging power.

not worth the time....a f-series vtec would be just as good as a b16a or a b18b......but then theres so many issues you have to worry about. you have to worry about the mounts, wiring since the good f-series motors are 94-up, so you-re looking at obd1-2 motors, the transmission.....you are gonna have to try and find a cable f-series tranny.....good luck with that. its just too much of a pain. its more economical and less stressing to go with a b-series motor.

Not the mounts the only H/F series CRX mounts are made by Place racing and they are weld in only.

Now onto the question at hand here about it being worth the time, F blocks start at 2 liters and go up to 2.3 liters and we all now displacement is good as it makes for some good low end torque. The amount of torque and HP the F-series engines make are going to be good for mid to upper 13’s. The only problem I see is finding a non auto tranny as most all Accords are automatics.

Over all the best route to go would be with a H22 swap in the CRX its good for 12’s and that’s with no mods to the engine.

there are NO cable f or h series trannys. imo the f22 would be a waste of time. they vary from 115hp to 145hp and 139tq to 148ft/lbs. but why replace one shitbox motor with another.. if you are gona go through all the trouble stick a h22 in there. do it right the first time
