I plan on swapping a H22 in my 95 Accord EX. My cousin loves speed, but no money to buy an engine. I want to give him my F22 engine so he can be right there with me. Is it possible to fit a F22 in there? I heard the H22 will fit in a 91 CRX, but I'm not sure of the differences between the H22 and F22.

Thanks

An F22 in a CRX is just as bad as an H22 in a CRX, too big, too complicated, too much money... and the f22 doesn't creayte too much power.... might as well go with a B-series, alot easier and alot better.... there's a post floating around about the H22.... read it and you'll know the final answer....

well...technically the f22 would be just as "easy" (but its not easy) as bolting a h22 into a 4th gen. But...WHY !?!?!?

only reason i could see swapping that motor is all that torque down low....if you get a new f22 vtec it dynos at 135hp/135tq to the wheels....+/- a couple hp. this motor is the same as swappin in a h22....you have to weld in mounts, use a hammer in a couple spots, and have to have a upgraded suspension to drive it on the street, and also at least 16"-17" cuz that motor will sit pretty low. if you go with a f-series motor you mite want to consider the jdm f20b (dohc vtec, 200hp)

My cousin is broke and I'm trying to help him out hehe. We got a mechanic, which is my other cousin, just no engine.

F22 = slow
H22a = fast

Putting an accord motor in a civic is kinda an expensive undertaking to do for kicks. But hey, if you got the cash...you can make it work. :D But it's probably best spent elsewhere.

I'd rather drive a stock crx over a crx with an accord motor.

like i said....only f-series motors worth going for are the jdm dohc vtec f-series motors, they look jes like h22 motors on the outside.
