anyone use one of these on their valve cover? if so, how wll does it work and did you put any rtv in the corners of the cam lobe? it says not to use any, but everyone mentions using a small bead in those sharp creases...thanks

i didnt use anything else and mine dont leak. hand snug the VC bolts an then go 1/4 turn extra

I used those exact gaskets in kit form to replace the valve cover gasket, valve cover to rocker seals, and rocker to head seals to keep oil out of the spark plug tubes. It was so easy, my 12 year old helped me. The gaskets don't leak and I didn't see the need for permatex in the corners, but I ended up having to use a very small amount to hold the gasket in place so it wouldn't fall off when I flipped the valve cover over to install it. but torque to spec by the books b/c you don't want to crush it
and by torque to spec, i mean borrow a torque wrench from autozone or some autoparts store if you have to
