What size rims would you recomend with a 1.5in drop (pro kits) 17's or 18's and what series tires?

Pics of 17's and 18's with prokits would help also.

i'd go w/ 18's unless you are stuck on trying to make your car fast. im pretty sure the right size is 225/40/18.

there wont be a gap diff at all if you had the right size tires for both of them. the 18's would just have more wheel w/ a lower profile tire wheras the 17's would have less wheel and more rubber.

it doesn't matter 17" or 18" rims gap will remain be same.
let me correct myself, gap should remain same, because you need to match diameter of new wheels (17"/18" rims) to stock wheels diameter to have proper reading of your speedometer.

diameter of stock wheels is 25.5".
best tire size for 17" rims would be 215/50/17, but not that many companies produce that size and generaly they expensive, so some ppl buying 215/45/17 or 225/45/17. those tire are smaller then 215/50/17, 215/45 is 3.4% smaller and 225/45 is 2.0% smaller, and that is percentage by what your speedometer will be off by, plus it will open that ugly gap even more.

same thing applies to tires for 18" rims.

Here's a four door with 17s on Prokits. The tires are 215/40...not the ideal size from an appearance point of view...could be a tad more sidewall to close the gaps a little more. But this is what was on the rims when I bought them used with about 1500 miles on them (from an ES300)

my accord has a 2" drop and i'm sitting on 18"s and there still is a gap. i have a 3 -12" subs sitting in the trunk (waiting to get customized) and so it looks a little uneven.. but.. without the box i still see a little gap... but with the box the back looks like a perfect drop, hehe..
