ok a hole was busted in my a/c line and all the freon leaked out but now i have a new line and i was wondering if anyone knew the steps to charge the lines

Step one: take it to the shop and let a professional do it. Im in that class rite now and i can tell u already if u plan on doing that urself, you dont have the equipment to do it PROPERLY.

find an old refrigerator and take out the compressor and convert it into a ghetto vacuum pump, hook it to the system with a set of a/c gauges and pull a vacuum on the system.

Then add your oil to the system, then add your freon to the system and you're done.

do it while the system is running though.

but yeah, I agree, take it to a shop if you have no idea or you risk overfilling the system which is bad for lots of reasons.
