For GSR plate kit(75 shot) How many psi of fuel do I need???
Also this is going to be my first kit. Is it a good idea to start wth this kit, it was the best for the money.

The plate kit is a very nice kit and IMO the best that you can buy for a GSR. Honestly, though, you are going to have to take it to a dyno because there are too many variables when it comes to fuel systems. My prelude is supposed to have close to 40 psi of fuel pressure, but it just barely pushes 32 psi on my fuel gauge.

well fuel PSi is my biggest concern because I need my engine for at least another year. Do you have a FPR?? I wonder if a Command FLO will the job for that GSR Kit.

I have an AEM fpr. Before I installed the fpr I put on a fuel gauge. With stock fuel pressure the gauge red 32 psi. When I installed the fpr, which was supposed to be set at 40 psi from the factory, the fuel pressure didn't budge. It stayed right at 32 psi.

Well then what I need to increase the fuel PSi is a better fuel pump.
You can increase the fuel pressure with the fpr. I was just using my car as a reason to take your car to a dyno, because the condition of the fuel pump really affects your fuel pressure. I have an 8 year old fuel pump and it's getting a bit worn, so my fuel pressure is dropping. I ordered my kit from summit racing. The number is 1-800-230-3030, they will ask you for a part #. When you call one of the options will be to go to a certain extension. Some guy named Jay at extension 6702 was very helpful.

if you didnt see it budge try taking off tat vaccum line , that gives you the correct pressure, that you would get at wot without stressing the car at wot to tune the pressure.
anyway just unlug it and set the pressure then when you plug it back in it wil dropa bit due to the vacuum .

thats at a little above idle...also..if you pull the vacumm hose off the pressure regulator that will bump up your fuel pressure a lot...but only do that at the track...because if you daily drive it that way you will be burning valves left and right...

it doesnt bump up your pressure, it just shows you what the pressure will be under load, with out having it under load,.
if you take off you vaccum line and set it at 50and then put it on at idle it will liike 45or so , then if you hit the throttle you will see if rise to where you set it ,
with the hose off it just keeps it at a constant pressure . . . some people race like that , but i dont , i just take it off to fine tune it , then put it back on

no..if you pull the vacumm hose off the regulator your pressure goes way up because there is no vaccum any more to close the valve in the regulator.....thats why you burn valves...GSR_PR...teh vaccum hose you would be pulling is the one that connests to the fuel pressure regulator...unless you have changed it, it will be the grey one going into your regulator..the other hose that goes into the regulator is the return fuel line..dont mess with that one

when you install the kit make sure you retard your ignition timing 2 degrees for every 50 shot of nos...and use 1 heat range colder spark plug for every 50 shot
