I bought an STR competition fuel rail and installed it on my sohc turbo motor. It hauled ass once the turbo spooled, but pulling out into traffic and stuff it was real boggy. I almost stalled out a few times. Its kinda dangerous. Anyone had the same problems? Is this caused from too much volume? I never changed the fuel pressure. Would the rail cause it to raise really high? I know the car was running really rich when it was on there because i got carbon on my rear bumper.

Sounds like you've gone rich. Need to re-tune. It could have happened if the previous rail was the most restrictive component in your fuel system.

should i try putting it on again and turning down the fuel pressure?

I would put it on again. Dial the fuel pressure down a bit until it runs well. You probably (might) need to recalibrate the rising rate on your FMU. Maybe not, though. Most are adjusted by trading out either plates or springs.
