run the oil that comes in your car from the factory for 3000 miles. It has additives that help the piston rings and seals seat.

after that, use mobil 1.

i wonder where he came up with that 50/50 mix. . .

What are the addictives????????? There are none. The oil that comes in the car is regular Honda 5w-30, nothing special. Piston rings and crank bearings all seat with proper break in. No high revs and no hard acceleration.

I changed to M1 syn at 500 miles, that's right 500. Doesn't hurt a thing. My mom has an 89 maxima with 270,000 miles and she runs M1 too, changes her oil every 5,000. I change mine every 3,000.

That information is right. They have a special break in oil that is used in brand new cars. They say you don't need to change that oil for 6K to 7.5K. I also had my ex-girlfriend's uncle works at Honda Dealership that confirms this information.

I believe you are wrong with the oil. I have someone that works with Honda Dealership that confirms this information.
