Well I haven't driven my car in over two months....and I drove it yesterday and noticed it had a funny idle in park and neutral. It would jump to like 2k rpms and then just go back down to normal. And it kept doing it over and over again. Any of you guys ever had this problem?

I have the same problem. took me forever to find out what it might be. it is possibly one of two things. fast idle valve and idle air control valve. I would have the fast idle valve replaced first. if that doesn't fix the problem you might need to replace the idle air control valve as well.

shouldnt have to buy anything... there is an idle control screw on yoru throttle body.. it is on the side of the throttle body that the intake actually goes onto.. its facing that way.. you turn it clockwise to make the rpm's lower and vice versa for raising them..

So I popped the hood and there was a huge ball of moss and leaves. Then a squirrel jumped out and ran deeper into the engine. I moved the moss around and there were 3 baby squirrels.......Well anyways my engine has dirt and leaves and shit in it now......bastard rodents. I gotta wait until morning to make sure I got them all out.

Haha....I didn't think it was funny at the time. I was ready to shoot some squirrels. I don't live in the boonies at all...but its not a big city or anything. I hadn't drove my car in like 2 months. Then I drove it to the body shop...then back home where it sat for like 3 days. So I guess that squirrel built a lil nest in like a day or two in there. I gotta clean my whole f-in engine out now when it gets back from the body shop. LOL, at least I have a special lude story now......

I think it was my o2 sensor wire.....But a wire got accidentally yanked out and my idle did the exact same thing.....very, very annoying...Finally I spotted the un hooked wire and plugged it back in......Make sure the wires are plugged in properly around the engine. Maybe the wires went bad?
So this may mean you have a MINOR problem....

yeah that could be it too... also check the TPS sensor is plugged in.. that is on the back portion of the throttle body near the firewall..
