k..... ive just wired my car with 4ga and i was wondering what size fuse i needed if i was going to run the bp1200.1 or the bp600.1? thx. ....... i had a 80 amp one but it didnt work with my friends 300 watt amp.... wierd, is the fuse broken? thx.

what size fuse does each amp require?
after u know that add the 2 numbers together and then u have your size

120A for the 1200.1 or a 60A fuse for the 600.1. dont get a 180 A breaker. a 60 A fuse shouldn't blow from a 300 watt amp. your friend must have a short or a bad amp.

how many times do i hae to say wattage doesnt mean shit when it comes to your fuse size every amp gives u a differnt rating,if one of his amps uses 3 40 amp fuses thats 120 amps from 1 amp so yes a 60 amp fuse will blow right there and if the other amp 2 30 amp fuses thats 60 amps so 120 amps plus 60 amps = 180 amps so if u dont think a 60 amp fuse will blow put one in and turn up the system and watch it blowacuradriva said:

If you're referring to the inline fuse at the battery, use a 120 - 150 ANL fuse for the bp1200.1
