I got a 94 Accord EX and the gas gauge never goes above 3/4 even when I get the tank filled. Also the low fuel warning light never goes on even if the needle is below E. Anyone know what's up with my ride? Peace
wassup!....don't feel sad about it...you're not the only one....i too have hat same problem...i heard it was very common for the 94-95 to have that fuel gauge problem......as for the cause...i'm not sure....might be the sensors
thats one of the problems that most 5th gen people have. i guess its just a flaw w/ the sensor or something, you might be able to get it fixed at the dealer.
You need to replace your sending unit in the fuel tank (the fuel guage will not read full because it has excessive resistance in the sending unit) I got mine replaced for about $150. The dealer should have documentation about it if you want to do it yourself. This trouble spot affects 94 and 95 accords.
I have a 94 Ex and I don't have the problem. Although I do know that the light bulb in the Gas low light is gone. I have to change it because it never comes on. Lates
When I fill up my car, the guage goes to F, but the low fuel light does not work. I learned the hard way...I ran out of gas and it was quite embarassing. From now on I just fill up when i got 1/4 left, safe way to go.
